Thankfully it isn't hard to remove with ublock origin. Just enter Element picker mode and select the pop up to remove it. Then do the same for the greyed out background & it'll work normally.

Would have been funnier if they just left him undubbed

Sometimes the updates aren't even worth it.

Toyota said my prius needed an update so I installed the app for it. All the update did was remove fucking features that were usable in the car. Used to have the option to use Pandora from the console but it got removed randomly by an update.

Then they installed an Alexa search page that glitches my console if I every select it.

Basically I'm saying FUCK TOYOTA

I actually loved when I saw this a week ago. It went far enough that only a single letter was on each line.

Lmfao Sugar Land. The Onion picked the perfect place for the article. It can be said the same for the rest of Houston too.

I remember driving to pick my friend up around there a decade ago, but having to stop in her subdivision first to fix my cars screen/central console by updating. Parked between two houses in the suburbs and began fixing it.

The owner of one of the houses came out and just stared at me. Eventually he began to flash his garage door lights constantly at me to go away. I wasn't blocking his driveway or anything during this. The old guy just keep looking at me as I was trying to reset stuff.

Then he got in his car and just idled it in the driveway and began flashing his high beams at me. I was stuck sitting there because the car required to be parked while updating. Eventually the dick sped his car forward out of his driveway and blocked me from even able to move forward. He lowered his window and just stared at me again. I held up the phone that said it was updating my car and told him. He just said OK and kept watching me until it was done and he moved to let me go.

Only 9/10 minutes had gone by from when I first parked to when I left. Such a creepy ass moment to deal with when I was 17 years old. I fucking hate living in Houston.

Been a bit since I last posted lol. Figured it was time to post another SS13 classic video.

[-] Mr_Buscemi@lemmy.blahaj.zone 80 points 9 months ago

I didn't see the video in the article.

This guy didn't even try to hide it. Then tries to scratch or tickle her head when leaving.

*CRAP lol it was pointed out that the FOV/brightness/DLSS stuff will come in FUTURE updates. I really should have waited to see the update in action before posting that original title. Was confused at why I couldn't find the settings. Sorry for anyone that got confused by me :(

First, an enormous thank you to all of you playing Starfield and your support. We are absolutely blown away by the response and all you love about the game. We’re also reading all your great feedback on what you’d like to see improved or added to the game. This is a game we’ll be supporting for years and years to come, so please keep all the feedback coming! Even if we don’t get to your requests immediately, we’d love to do it in the future, like city maps. Our priority initially is making sure any top blocker bugs or stability issues are addressed, and adding quality-of-life features that many are asking for.

This first update is a small hotfix targeted at the few top issues were are seeing. After that, expect a regular interval of updates that have top community requested features including: Brightness and Contrast controls HDR Calibration Menu FOV Slider Nvidia DLSS Support (PC) 32:9 Ultrawide Monitor Support (PC) Eat button for food!

We’re also working closely with Nvidia, AMD, and Intel on driver support, and each update will include new stability and performance improvements. Additionally, we are working on our built-in mod support (Creations) that will work across all platforms similar to what we’ve done with Skyrim and Fallout 4. This full support is planned to launch early next year. Until then, we know our PC community is already very active in the modding space and if you have any feedback on how we can make this better, please let us know . Modding and creating in our games will always be a vital and important part of who we are, and we love seeing the community get off to such a strong start. Keep the feedback coming, we really do read it all, and thank you all again for taking this journey with us!

Wait again?! It's only been like 4 days since the last time lol.

[-] Mr_Buscemi@lemmy.blahaj.zone 91 points 10 months ago

Thank God I wasn't the only one who went WTF. That's like one of the simplest things I learned as a mod in my first 2 days. You gotta update the sidebar twice for both versions of it. It's been over a month since they probably took over and they still don't know this.

I love this article but it also makes me sad like with the old r/canning mods pointing out the unsafe material the new mods left up.

[-] Mr_Buscemi@lemmy.blahaj.zone 149 points 10 months ago

the anonymous Redditor pointed me to the subreddit's sidebar, which has a disclaimer about the dangers of electricity. However, the disclaimer is only visible on old Reddit. The mod doesn't know why.

Wow this is the part that made me laugh the most. One of the first things I learned when as a mod was that you had to change the side bar in both old.reddit and the newer version since they both have different sidebars.

I never even realized that the loss of whole mod teams could make this simple feature unknown by the new team.

Sucks for you guys. They caused nothing but trouble when they were still federated with Blahaj.

After so many of us complained about how they were being dicks and many on the instance weren't feeling comfortable, hexbear decided to defederate from us first since they somehow said it wasn't safe for their LGBT members to be on it.

Funny enough a few days later a new account started posting across different lemmy instances for days about how the Blahaj instance was anti trans and that the admin was too. Our Admin is openly trans :/

The whole argument started because the user said everything had to be political and wouldn't stop insulting others who said they didn't want to have every post on Blahaj to turn political.

It was just too perfect timing how a few days after hexbear defedarated for somehow saying the pro LGBT instance was anti-LGBT, that we got a brand new account attacking trans members while sayin they were anti-trans.

Enjoy your new people.

That title hides the worst part.

The cops arrested him and then said social services was coming to take his son who was with him at the time. Then the cop was told the charges wouldn't stick and still did it.

Fucking disgusting to terrify a child like this.

This was from back earlier this year when Yogstation had a 3D test server up for a few months. Lavaland was a ton of fun to explore like this.

For a few months Yogstation had a test server up that converted their code into 3D. I probably spent close to 80 hours just playing and recording everything I could in 3D.

I wish the 3d server was still up. I had so much fun in it. Sorry for any of you that find this and are sad you missed it :(

I'll post a few more of the videos here later for the hell of it.

When I was in college I lived in a off campus student housing area and they had the the most passive aggressive wifi names.

"WeHearUJackOff"

"StillHearUCryingWithShowerOn"

"WhoCooksOnionsAt4AM"

"PleaseTakeAShower"

"UrDogGotTheShitsAgain"

It wasn't just one wifi. It was like three SSID's all arguing to each other. They began responding to each other by changing their names also lol.

Sorry for the crappy title. It's late and I'm typing from my phone. Tried to make it as descriptive as possible lol.

So I just tried to edit a comment I made earlier. After I clicked save on my edit, I tried editing the comment again since I misspelled a word. When the edit page popped up again I realized it was letting me edit the original comment again and not showing anything I just changed/saved on my last edit.

Example of what I mean

I make a comment saying "dog egg cat"

I edit the comment to remove "egg" and click save. Comment now shows as "dog cat"

I edit it again but it shows my comment still as "dog egg cat" as if my last edit didn't happen.

"In a ruling submitted today, Judge Corley said the following:

Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision has been described as the largest in tech history. It deserves scrutiny. That scrutiny has paid off: Microsoft has committed in writing, in public, and in court to keep Call of Duty on PlayStation for 10 years on parity with Xbox. It made an agreement with Nintendo to bring Call of Duty to Switch. And it entered several agreements to for the first time bring Activision’s content to several cloud gaming services. This Court’s responsibility in this case is narrow. It is to decide if, notwithstanding these current circumstances, the merger should be halted—perhaps even terminated—pending resolution of the FTC administrative action. For the reasons explained, the Court finds the FTC has not shown a likelihood it will prevail on its claim this particular vertical merger in this specific industry may substantially lessen competition. To the contrary, the record evidence points to more consumer access to Call of Duty and other Activision content. The motion for a preliminary injunction is therefore DENIED. "

Figured I should make a post like this too. I'll start with my own comment a moment.
