This happens with pigs, had to separate them when a baby was born ( I would have separated beforehand, but wasn't up to me) but yeah they'll eat all that stuff and occasionally a baby.

I have an old android phone running lineage and I host a hotspot if I want it to have data, it's amazing how well Android Auto works without Internet access compared to having data though.
If it makes you feel any better it still feels pretty hostile to me as well.
