It's that time again.

A spaceship captain game with an AI crew that follows your orders, and is focused on problem solving and exploration rather than combat and resource gathering. Kind of like ongoing episodes of star trek, but in game form.

I just watched the blackberry series last night. It was a great series and I recommend watching it.

It really brought me back to that time. I actually lived in Waterloo from 2005 to 2010. When RIM was at its peak the world was watching Canada. It was a truly global company, leading the world in what would be smartphones. I knew so many people who worked at RIM and have a career because of that company. Times were great back then.

It made me realize that after the fall of RIM, things have sort of been downhill. I know RIM is still around, but nothing like it used to be. Shopify has also been a great success story, but even still not on the same level as RIM.

Why have we not had any real innovation in this country in almost 20 years?

I can't beleive it's been trademarked.

Doing the needful.

Yes. Let's just add that final nudge to get world war three kicked off in earnest.

You can only help people who want to be helped. That goes for yourself, too. You can't help yourself until you actually have the desire to improve.

I don't think you have to be extreme right wing to have legitimate concerns for the future of Canada. The country is literally on fire. Houses are over $1 million and health care is barely functioning.

I'd hate to see the other guys I guess.

The Canadian Conservative party is not yet anywhere close to the republican party.

The green lizard lady hitting on me was a bit much. Meanwhile the cute cleric girl is a little too into her little goddess to talk to me.

I was like you once. Then, one day I realized that i really enjoyed watching first contact. It may even be my favourite of all of the start trek movies, original and TNG.

Eventually, I even appreciated insurrection. It is a little more light hearted than the other TNG movies. When the old crew began to feel younger, it just makes you happy.

That being said, I also watched the first star trek movie again recently, which is easily the one I've watched the least of all of them, and I will say I really enjoyed it. Maybe my tastes are just changing. Maybe my mind is going. Who knows.

I will inevitably buy the game, but I swore off buying anything at launch. I played both baldur's gates games, both neverwinter nights games and all of their expansions. Each one was easily my favourite game at the time.

How does the new baldur's gate compare to these?

A line of strong to severe storms will sweep over southern Ontario through Thursday evening, bringing a risk for wind damage, hail, and one or two tornadoes

It's 50% off right now and looks interesting. I don't have the capacity to assemble a co-op crew of real humans. From what I've read, the AI crew is very bad. Is the game actually as unplayable as some people make it seem with an AI only crew? Would I be better off saving my money?
