Comcast has money to defend itself. That's a huge difference.

I believe in it as a work accelerator, as it helps me think through problems in areas I know well and can sort it's bullshit out. Editing is faster than writing, and I frequently make typos in content I draft from scratch. ChatGPT has been a godsend for me professionally.

Why would more protective padding lead to more knockouts?

I'd propose that with better head protection, you could have three, four-round fights in the same time span as a twelve-round fight, with more guaranteed boxing.

I didn't say I don't support the infrastructure, and it's an incorrect inference you make of my preferences. My position is "yes pay for UX." My (unstated) position is also "yes, pay for infrastructure, but be willing to move instead of being tied to hosts"

You seem to infer that bc I am willing to pay for UX, I'm against paying for the servers, which simply isn't true or what I said.

Maybe the fight doesn't need to be a marathon if it can safely be a sprint.

Watching padded fast guys score points with speed. Less rounds means more speed attacks if it was computer judged instead of the current system.

I only used Reddit because of Sync. I don't give a shit what site provides the content. I want the revenue for the app to go to the UX creator.

IDK if we are that far off. Reddit was a lot of fun way before reaching it's peak user base.

Additionally, the highest Lemmy days are seeing something like 25%-50% as many posts as Reddit does on average.
