We're supposed to get 8-12 inches of snow between tomorrow afternoon and Sunday, so I went to make sure Sandy's blanket was okay and that she has enough of her supplements to last until I'm not snowed in.

Yes, thank goodness. There are a couple of coworkers of mine that will undoubtedly try to drive in but they're kinda dumb like that. I'm hoping things are dead in regards to work coming in on Monday. It'd be a nice break from the craziness we've had going on and I can finally get caught up on the projects I was assigned before Christmas

I just started teaching myself how to play the lyre! It's really fun. I'm getting the hang of it pretty quickly. 10/10 recommend the lyre

It's a special halter for exercising that gets a horse to hold themselves a certain way when on a lunge line. If it works like I hope, Sandy will utilize her back end muscles more during exercises and can hopefully help her get a lil muscle on her booty.
I got a hella good, and unexpected, raise at work and I will most likely be offering to become Sandy's full owner in February!!!!
Sandy's financial owner is struggling so bad. She sold her clothes, and has 3 jobs now. She hasn't paid me back for vet visits, farrier visits, or supplements for months now, which isn't an issue because I budget for that. I'm terrified she won't be able to make board, so I am going to analyze finances over the course of next month to make sure I can afford board.
She didn't damage the blanket though, which was awesome. It is also disgusting though lol.

I think she'll be just fine. :) She has extra hay and bedding in her stall and the barn is considerably warmer than the outside even though it isn't heated. The doors are closed and the crazy amount of square bales gives it some insulation. Hopefully she'll huddle up with the other horses outside. They all go out every day regardless of weather because horses are very hardy creatures and they need outside time to thrive. I got Sandy into a pretty good condition for this winter, so I'm not too worried about her. I'll always worry a lil bit tho lol.
