Called off work on Friday because I accidentally fucked up my back Thursday night and woke up unable to move without excruciating pain. My boss left me on read. Didn't even fucking reply.

"I LOVE CORN" -that kid that loves corn

I'm getting a new tat from a new artist (my old one retired because he almost died from a heart infection) on the 18th and I'm so excited for it. It's gonna be the first part of a sleeve of legendary women. This one is Medusa. The artist asked for some inspo pics and I sent her some but I have no idea what her design will be until the 18th. Her shop does design reveals and revisions on the day of the appointment which just has me more hyped

Rice would be awesome. Maybe oats? Wheat?

I have used it a whopping three times in the three weeks I've had it. I can't complain too much, though, because Rosie has been less of a goblin since I got it.

She's the epitome of the chaotic neutral alignment and is a wild thing. She sleeps a lot more now and is better behaved because she's just in the chair all the time lol.

I go see it all the time. I'm thinking of getting cut lil chimes and suncatchers to hang on the lower branches

The tree went from nearly dead to this beautiful over the 4 years I've lived in my house. I have no idea why it's improving lol.

I believe it's a choke cherry tree.

Idk how people can do this. Like, I was invited to a 4th of July party and I wasn't going to go if I couldn't find someone to sit with my dogs. I ended up paying my mom to watch them for me. My beagle is terrified of fireworks and he has reactions to emergency anxiety meds, so just sitting with him and keeping him company and hugging him is very important. Apparently he had a great time lol. My doodle doesn't give a shit about fireworks. She's just down to do whatever the beagle is doing lol.

Don't forget that they can die of a tummy ache!

They have VERY precarious digestion and digestive anatomy. They can very easily colic (colic is a very generalized term here btw) and die. Almost saw a horse die this past spring because it had an empty stomach for just a little too long.

Colic is my biggest fear as a horse owner. My childhood horse died from it. We don't know what exactly happened with her. We found her exhibiting all the symptoms and we did what we could but by the time the vet got there, she'd been deteriorating for almost 10 hours. She couldn't stay standing at that point and had nearly crushed me and two other people trying to keep her on her feet. She was put down and the whole thing fucked me up real bad for a long time.

She put up one hell of a fight for being as old as she was. She was 33 and didn't act it at all.

My dogs seem to know what days of the week are, because if I wake up early (before 10 am) on a weekend, they are both so offended that I woke them. But if I don't wake up on time (7:15) on a week day, they harass the fuck outta me until I get out of bed.

We all know orange cats don't have enough brain cells for that. We love them anyway.

He acts totally normal and doesn't really have any other signs of anything being wrong other than his eyes getting watery and slightly goopy.

He's growing and eating and playing well, so I'm not too worried about him at this point. I clean his eyes and give him special eye drops when I'm there and it usually eases up the issue considerably. Barn cats are almost always experiencing some kinda eye thing, as it's part of the environment. These cats have a job to do and if their condition gets too bad, a vet is called.

That being said, I'd totally adopt Broccoli Cheddar if I could afford it, but I cannot.

Most of the kittens this year have gotten adopted, which makes me really happy. French Onion got a home and I think someone has eyes on Lobster Bisque.

She was being a serious brat in the beginning and trying to show off for Pete the Mule and was not listening to me at all. I got her listening after using my mean horse trainer voice. She did really good for like the first 5 minutes down the road then the wind started picking up and she got overstimulated. Then she saw a bus parked in a driveway and called it quits. She turned and started off towards home and I couldn't turn her around. So I decided to just keep her walking instead of trotting like she wanted to.

We were doing pretty good with that until a pickup truck came zooming past us and she almost bolted. I got her reined in after she went into a trot and we got back to the barn safe and sound without any actual incident.

We both did very well considering that:

1:) she's being ridden after 7 years of no work

2:) I have no idea if she's been road ridden

3:) I am still kind of a beginner at riding properly, especially with a horse that uses a hackamore

I was going to go riding again today, but I overslept and decided to just take the day off to be lazy lol

Stumbled upon a saddle made for Arabians! It was only used once and was sold for $300 less than it sells for new! Nabbed it up as soon as I found it and it's perfect! It's very light because it's made of synthetic leather and nylon. It is super comfy. The stirrups also shortened enough to fit my lil legs.

Sandy adores music, especially upbeat music. I was playing some Crane Wives (my fave band ever.) I was going to try out my second saddle on her to see if it fits enough to be a comfortable ride but there were riding lessons going on and I didn't want to distract the students. I'm hopefully going to be getting a saddle for her that fits well. I had her fitted and got in contact with a saddle selling company that will help me find what I need.

Also, sorry for the lack of Sandy pics lately. There was a tornado pretty much on top of my house a couple weeks ago and I've been dealing with everything from that. I had minimal damage to most of my property, but had to re-home my ducks because their outside enclosure got messed up and the repairs weren't a bit beyond what I can provide at the moment.

For all the Sandy fans out there
