You're right, we don't live in a utopia, so do you actually think the governments (since all governments seem to be doing some form of this) will not simply allow bots (bots are from companies, and neo-liberal governments will twist themselves into an inter dimensional pretzel if it pleases megacorps), foreign intervention (having a valid foreign ID doesn't atop people from astroturfing), etc?
They have more than a dozen ways to combat misinformation already and they actively choose not to use any of them at all because it meets their goals.
Do you think normal people will be able to access the IDs of anyone to see if they are astroturfing and spreading misinformation? Literally a 0.001% chance of that happening.
Literally the only thing that will happen is that normal people get tracked to hell and back and when the authoritarians manufacture enough consent to take power, it will immediately be used to dispose of their dissidents. Only bad comes from this because the democratic or socialist cleaning governments don't have the spine to actually use it against the billionaire class.
Never send sms's or call on that flip phone though because you might as well be posting all of it on Facebook with how easily it can be read. Your carrier logs every text sent in plaintext.
Sony, in their infinite wisdom, defaults full data without the ability to choose a default, you can only deny upon plugging it in and it will eventually revert back to full data anyway

They are trying to get rid of cash here. Bancontact in the Benelux is literally trying to do away with all cash exchange.
They have paid ( I assume since it all happened within a few months across many banks)/caused hundreds of banks to simply not accept cash input anymore at their ATMs and take out their ATMs entirely and built entirely new Bancontact ATMs everywhere that don't accept any cash input, only output.
My girlfriend (cafe owner) has to drive 20 minutes to deposit cash income.
So essentially, they are trying to force businesses to not accept cash at all anymore if they make it inconvenient enough. Then everything flows through Pepol, and everything has to be paid via Bancontact and they will have a cut of literally everyone across multiple countries' income as profit doing nothing but bribing politicians and banks.
It often doesn't really. It misses a ton and fills in the gaps itself. It is aimilar with multitasking in that it is really just fast task switching and filling the gaps.
I maan, there are dedinitely people that specifically train to speed read or listen, but i would be interested to have people speed read/listen short novels or so and check for comprehension after the fact.
