I don't go out of my way to get news, so social media/Lemmy. Except for local news, which I do follow more closely. But that's it.

Drive throughs are the real evil here.

I got by for a long time using a YouTube playlist and Vanced. Might want to look into YouTube Revanced, it's a patch for the YT app that deletes ads and adds some extra features.

I just now realized I got Voyager and Lemmy versions confused. You are right about 0.20 being the most recent voyager version.

0.18.2 is the most recent version...

Also noticing. Seem to to away after a few minutes/tries.

Both. Downvotes aren't taken into account for all beehaw posts and comments. Even if someone downvotes a beehaw post from another instance, it just won't send.

A survey shows perceptions of the Florida governor's favorabilty have dropped, even among Republicans, as he refuses to back down in a feud with Disney.

This shit is why we need a Right to Privacy. Every person should have the right to be private from the eyes of the state. Our (American) constitution forbids the state from unwarranted search and seizure, quartering of troops, enacting or dictating religion, censoring your speech and expression, and stopping peaceful assemblies.

Instead of saying "Privacy is sacred", we have a mess of individual rights, which when taken together, spell out a right to privacy. We need to fix this mess, because the bandaid of the courts can't and won't.

While we're at it, ban SUVs and Light Trucks, by making a separate licence for them. If you need one for work? Or for personal use? Get a license that proves you know how to use one.

SUVs and Light trucks have done so much damage to our society: both by being dangerous as fuck, and in the insane amounts of pollution that emit. It's about time the United States, and any other country that hasn't yet, apply bandage to the wound. Slow the bleeding. Then the healing can begin.

Feature, not a bug.

Big Advertising can be stopped simply by denying their existence in the first place. It's time to get advertisers out of our digital lives.
