My guess is they are referring to hospitals, medical care, end of life care, housing, rehabilitation facilities, schools, daycares, etc.

All necessary for human survival and require great empathy, all of which are driven by profit considerations in our society which makes them make unempathetic choices for the bottom line - such as evicting people onto the streets, denying necessary medical care, letting children, the elderly and differently-abled be neglected, letting people die in great pain, euthanizing undesirable people, allowing high levels of suicide and deaths of despair, etc.

at least some economic and diplomatic muscle

neoliberalism IS fascism. Fascism is not a distinct thing from capitalism, they are the same thing, fascism is hyper-capitalism. The more intense the capitalist relations and the more one-sided and unopposed the class domination, the more "fascist" it appears to us. This is why the Nazis privatized everything. It really is that simple. Capitalism doesn't "lead" to fascism, fascism is just its bare expression unmitigated by ideology or social guardrails installed by socialists.

The mainstream media and zionist mouthpieces are all "maximizing" it, without a better term. The largest part of propaganda is emphasis. I will just say that while tragic, this is anomalous and the work of daesh, which is western-backed in the first place. Israel deliberately propped up and spread daesh and deash propaganda, as did the CIA. They both benefit from spreading anti-semitism globally and propping up salafist terrorists to make the western world hate muslims. I don't get the point of over-pontificating on the significance of a one-off anecdote of an event when there's much more pressing things to emphasize. And if we do discuss it, it should be in the context of explaining that salafism is a product of the west and their allies, this is their fault and not the fault of Palestinians or the left.

They are still pretending that Syrian Security Forces and IS are different things

this is an extremely white comment, saying that POC who prioritize focusing on genocide over a small terrorist attack are doing "all lives matter" like racists do. This comment requires serious self-crit

[–] InexplicableLunchFiend@hexbear.net 16 points 3 days ago (1 children)

i think the original comment was implying the opposite. That we are doing "all lives matter" by wanting to refocus on Palestine instead of hyperfixating on a small attack in Australia

[–] InexplicableLunchFiend@hexbear.net 23 points 3 days ago (3 children)

if anything it "all lives matter" to downplay mass death of POC to hyperfocus on a few whities getting killed. That's what the racists do in the US, they ignore the mass death and systemic suffering of POC to hyperfixate on anecdotes of crimes against white people

Hence the destruction of the Yiddish language, and its replacement by the artificially constructed fake Hebrew language

you can't make an argument and disengage in the same comment, this is breaking site rules

Jewish is a religion. The attempt to make it into an ethnicity is a zionist project, and the project historically of anti-semites. Jews from Poland have absolutely zero blood relation to the ancient semites of the levant

one is being weaponized as a tragedy by the zionists. one is being erased. if you don't see the difference then that's a blindness of yours
