On a personal level, I always thought (maybe I'm jsut old) mods were supposed to participate and be part of the community for stuff. It's a lot harder to make judgment calls and act in the best interest of a group you're not part of.

I would love a pure linux phone and and very open to spending money (if I ever have it again) and I am even willing to lower my standards pretty low if it just comes with a good battery life, but for the life of me I don't know that there aren't any that aren't just android forks susceptible to the fuckery of google.
