Posting this for transparency. As I'm a very active posters here, this can create a conflict of interest. So if anyone thinks something I post of do here is unfitting, don't hesitate and call me out.

I'm new to this so I can't speak for anyone else but me.

On a personal level, I always thought (maybe I'm jsut old) mods were supposed to participate and be part of the community for stuff. It's a lot harder to make judgment calls and act in the best interest of a group you're not part of.

I agree, as somebody being mod but not an active part of the community would be like governing "from over our heads".

Still, I wanted to make my announcement this way so that nobody thinks "I don't agree with but they are a mod so it must be alright".
