Please bring this back. I’m a lurker on Lemmy, as I was on Reddit, 99.4% of my interactions are “go into topic” and “go back to feed”.
I’ve searched high and low to replicate my Apollo browsing habits, and at the moment Liftoff! is the only app I’ve found that lets me full-post-swipe-back.
Hopefully with the latest gesture customization implementation, it can be added.

Swipe where? Mine just brings up comment upvote if I’m on the comments, I can’t swipe back on the post either, what am I missing?
If you had Alien Blue, you got a shitload when Reddit bought it. That’s where I got mine and also never spent a dime on Reddit.
I’ve switched to Memmy for now, seems a bit more stable. Keeping an eye on Voyage.
This first app to allow full screen swipe back will win for me.
I also run all of those things, plus the Plex server.
It’s like a magic little box you keep finding new tricks for.
I also upgraded its ram, use port trunking (both network connections) and put some cache SSD sticks in it. Not because I needed to, but because you can!

You can install 3rd party keyboards on iOS too to be fair. GIF keyboards etc.
