  1. Minecraft - Was my absolute childhood and I met so many good friends and learnt a lot throughout my time playing the game.

  2. Skate 2 - The controls are perfect, the vibe is amazing, it's just one of my overall favourites.

  3. GTA V - The first R rated game I played. Both this game and Fallout 3 were massive inspirations for me focusing on 3D environments as a Game Dev student.

Honourable mention to Little Big Planet and Rollercoaster Tycoon Deluxe; both of which absolutely shaped my childhood

Here are some that I have found useful:

Game tracking:

Game art:

Compatability

  • Does It Play? - Lets you know if a game plays out of box or requires extra downloads or codes
  • Proton DB - Compatibility ratings and advice for gaming on Linux

Game Deals:

  • Fanatical - Can often find games cheaper here
  • Humble Bundle - Does game bundles with proceeds going to charity, often has good games in the bundles.
  • CeX - Can pick up second hand physical games for cheap here
  • GOG - DRM free games

Mostly just disability aids and stuff to help me keep up my skills after finishing my game dev course, nothing particularly fun haha

Did buy a new mouse for my computer and a couple of games on Steam too though.

So proud of you congrats!

(I'm new to Lemmy so I hope I'm doing this right)

I've had these purchases looming over me on my to do list for months but ADHD executive dysfunction made it impossible to actually organise myself enough to buy stuff and the list kept getting longer but today I finally managed to actually buy everything I needed to and organise stuff by delivery date and/or purchase location!

Now I can make a start on the other important stuff that was waiting on that to be done!
