I am relating to personal experiences and so would not wish to divulge to much on the companies ๐Ÿ˜‰

What would be the misinformation? A typical working family in the 1970 could survive and feed their family. Today, a working family barely make enough money to pay for rent.

If CEO deserve their pay (hypothetically) then why would the employee not equally get higher salary increase?

Please explain how business have not, at least in the last 30 years, focused on gaining high profit for shareholders and care very little of the consumer or the workers.

A CEO goal is not to serve the board to the point of ripping a business apart. In that same breath, a Board should actually be held accountable to not pillage companies to simply increase their already big portfolio...

@Donkter@lemmy.world Well... I hope to find one, honestly.... I really don't know. I just don't feel comfortable with glorifying murder, even if the CEO deserved it.

I hope someone that is smarter then I am will find a better way that won't throw the United States into further division.... My concern is that Billionaires will use this murder as an excuse to hire private militias (not the cops but mercenaries like black water) which would lead to civil war.... Perhaps far fetched..... Who knows

Well then, how about doing the same with the rest of the world...its been my experience that Americans love dedicating the rules to everyone else, including invading them but are far too sensitive to see their own flaws and accept criciticism from other countries.... It's not surprising that lost senators don't even have a passport....

I don't have more to add to this discussion. Happy holidays and best of luck.

And yet, for someone who is so enlightened you lash out and name call me instead of actually debating with me.

That is on you, I did not personally attack you until you did.

That is as far as I well go on this discussion.

Best of luck

Look man, I don't see what your solution is here, you don't want to protest so what are you proposing as a solution? Just give power in the end of a random guy who decides to shoot random billionaires? Do you not see what I'd the next step outside of the typical justification for the rich to have their own militia and the actually lead to even worst civil violence?

As I said, I don't have he answer but protest and boycott do work. It is what made the world change the policies for apartheid South Africa, it is what forced the British out of India.

The onyl difference today its that its harder to prevent the truofrom coming out but what is the point if no one will stand up for what is right.

In Canada yes, but then again my taxes pay for my health care and also there are rules for insurance that are different because we are evil socialist based on most Americans... ๐Ÿ™„

I did not make such allusion but thank you for making such a cheap conclusion....

I hope you never lose anyone in your family, I certainly wouldnt trivialize your pain but then again.... Not surprised

Fair enough, there isn't much more to add to what you said.... It's a disgusting system.

Well we could ask the same question when Notre dame de Paris burned, how many millions went to rebuild it?

I respect the arts and the building is an important part of French history which is important.

I would however say that it is interesting that we cannot raise money for charities but if an art building burn oh well... Let the millions pour in....

Damnit, you just made him important ๐Ÿ˜œ

I was saying fair point that China today is not that of the 70's ...

There is a corrupt rich class in China and the communist party is struggling to "harmonize"

Then again, I would not wish to Be the leader of a billion people.... It's not easy decision for sure....
