As always, it's better to recommend more strict restrictions when you don't know if they're effective and there's an impact on public health. Hindsight is 20/20

Land on a planet, you step off the ship, and you suddenly get captured. Hard cut to black.

Slow fade in... "you're finally awake"

I would love to be able to set the post type background of images or videos yo a different color than links. I often accidentally open a YouTube video I don't want to open because I think it's actually an image or a link.

No, they wouldn't have. Because owning a link to a thing doesn't mean anything, no matter what that thing is. They were only valuable because people didn't understand NFTs and wanted to get rich quick.

... what?

This sounds like the pitch of a tech bro who just heard someone use the term API but doesn't actually know what it is

The downside of HFCS isn't the syrup itself, but the fact that it is so cheap and is easily able to be added to make things taste "better" for basically no cost.

I would end the corn subsidies in America. They make bank anyway

Not since Elon Musk bought me for 44 billion dollars

I'm pretty sure that was a joke, lol

Interesting side effect is Reddit is basically penalizing voting, since if you vote on most comments you end up doubling or tripling your API usage. The best way to pay less for this app is to stop voting altogether.

Reddit's advertising is based on user engagement, so they're shooting themselves in the foot for a few pennies in comparison.

So because the average person is aware that it's difficult to download off YouTube, that means any attempt to make it easier is "acting in bad faith"?

Is it "bad faith" to replace your phone's battery because it requires some specialized tools? Is it "bad faith" to change the oil in your car instead of bringing it to a service center?

A PhD doesn't mean anything other than that you are a fast learner and are dedicated enough to work on a project for years. It doesn't mean you are intelligent or even that you know everything in your field, however it does usually result in you being an expert in a very specific small corner of your field.

I have a PhD

I know lots of very stupid people with PhDs

I have a PhD, for one

The only crime here is the crime against humanity of taking away a person's agency over their own body

When comments are very long, it can push the text box for replies towards the bottom of the screen. If the keyboard is pulled up to add to the text box, it will cover the box and make it so the response cannot be seen unless the keyboard is dismissed.

Possible solution: minimize the original comment on tap, or allow scrolling until the reply text box is at the top of the screen
