Sorry, op. I'm locking this thread, the discussion is getting too ugly for individualized moderation.

Thanks for mentioning this. I was so confused at these comments. Vincent may be a terrible guy, but he ain't a Nazi.

Comments locked due to numerous calls for violence. It's one of the few things explicitly against the rules.

My dude, d&b has been around for over a decade before dubstep became a thing. We are IE came out in '91. I've got jungle records that were mainstream in the early 90s, while dubstep didn't gain popularity until mid 2000s.

If you hold it at 120° F for two hours you kill nearly everything

Which is distinctly different from everything. And the consequences of this literally affect your health. It's the reason there's a hard rule about the temperature. It's for safety.

Thanks. I'm not considering it to be spam since theryre actually different content, albeit the same theme. It's just that the high rate gets enough people to report posts, and we'll often assume it's actual spam and act accordingly.

Hi there. Would you please slow down the posting rate of this potash shit? You're getting reports for spamming

Just want to pitch in and clarify the misinformation topic, since this is something explicitly mentioned in the Lemmy.World TOS, section 8.

Specifically, the type of misinformation that is prohibited is that which is harmful to others. Here's a direct quote that pretty much sums up the matter:

We DO reserve the right to remove any information posted which COULD cause imminent PHYSICAL harm to any living being

We also reserve the right to remove any sufficiently scientifically proven MALICIOUS information posted which a user may follow, which would result in either IMMINENT PHYSICAL harm to an INDIVIDUALS PROPERTY, the PROPERTY of OTHERS or OTHER LIVING BEINGS.

So that being said, you're all free to talk all the shit you want. I'm only going to care if the shit you talk is actually harmful.

OPs shit is in no way demonstrably harmful to anyone in any relevant manner. So they get to keep talking it.

Edit: I'll concede, you may be put in harms way if you try to drink camel saliva. I presume they kick pretty hard. But frankly, you deserve it for trying.

Hey Squid. Please edit he title to have [AI] in it? Getting a lot of reports about that. Also the "deadly" ain't really accurate either.

Hey everyone. Here's a friendly reminder to be mindful of our rules. Particularly rule 1:

Refrain from using harmful language pertaining to a protected characteristic: e.g. race, gender, sexuality, disability or religion.

Refrain from being argumentative when responding or commenting to posts/replies. Personal attacks are not welcome here.

We deal with enough hate and vitriol in real life. It will not be tolerated here as well. Please report any offending comments and we'll nip it in the bud as soon as we can.

Let's keep this as a friendly little community where we can make stupid, stupid jokes.
