It's reporting usage and error data back to the company. As an engineer who used to work on appliances that did this the data is used to drive design direction as well as find trends in failure that we could make changes for.

I guess I'm just cynical because the way he "apologized" and came back was called like play for play for how to do a fake YouTube apology/comeback. I just find it so hard to feel sympathy for the man or believe anything he says with what he's done (not accused cause there were screenshots in that video) outside of just being a huge YouTube grifter.

You can yt-dlg right off the microsoft store on windows which is just a straight up GUI for yt-dlp.

Ahhh, that sucks to hear. It seemed like such a nice place while there, but I guess that's benefits of tourism. All of the cool parts, not around long enough for the bad :(

Literally no one is doing that. There was no excuses or apologies made for sexual assault taking place in other places. There was no "minimizing" the fact that it happens elsewhere. You are perceiving a slight from nothing, or at best a short post of exasperation that it happened again.

Just because I'm not aware of it also doesn't make the original post from False any less unexpected, I acknowledge my own ignorance but the point still stands. If it becomes known enough world-wide that Australia does indeed have a rampant SA problem that it become associated with the country as part of it's "culture", then it won't be any weirder to so a "Sigh, Australia..." when an article comes up talking about it.

Australia doesn't have a well known problem with groping women on public transit as far as I'm aware.

I love the game, but I do miss some of the "fuck around" shenanigans you can get into with a DM who can improvise based on if someone comes up with some WAY out of left field idea of what they want to do. It's no replacement for the tabletop but there are definitely things both DMs and game designers can learn from each other here.

I would doubt it. Power builds like double hand crossbow are pretty classic DnD and they don't really affect anyone other than the player since it's a "single player" game for the most part. So why not let those people have their busted builds, same as you have that one person in the tabletop group that minmaxs hardcore.

It's already a popular enough opinion that gamepass is too good a deal for the price they're charging yet some of the loudest people on public forums will warn, and I bet act, like the world is coming to an end cause they're pulling out of the "try to get as many users as possible to try and get comfortable on the service" phase. If it becomes too expensive for your tastes, just cancel. Otherwise it's just a good deal you can enjoy until it happens.
It's not even enshittification. It's not like the service got "worse."

So the alt-right and nazis flock to threads and the taliban endorse twitter. It just seems like losers all around.
