I loved the sword of truth series, actually read it througg because of the tv show. It was not good.

A fun power fantasy, but it just got more and more formulaic and preachy over time.

The crazy thing is a huge chunk of the first book was a BDSM femdom fantasy, with both hard and soft dommes represented, and the series got less subtle after that.

That a jesus (probably) existed does not mean the jesus of the bible is that jesus.

Just like robinhood might be based on an amalgamation if real outlaws, the character of robin hood as popularly understood is still fictional.
