That's easy to say but when there are laws in place to protect the entrenched two-party system and they're choosing who you get to vote for, it should be plainly obvious that we're just being given an illusion of choice.

Look at Trump's term, then at Biden's. America as a whole didn't really change. The talking heads sqwaked about different topics but ultimately we're no different as a country than were 8 years ago. It's a lot of finger pointing in the end but ultimately when one side gets in, the rich get tax breaks. When the opposite side gets in, the same rich tax the poor harder via increased prices at every register. Either way, their wealth increases and they get richer.

The only way forward should be sweeping, drastic change which is often the platform both parties run on, yet neither are ever held accountable for failure to deliver on those promises. The fact that we live in a country as vast as the USA while somehow only having a choice between two different shit sandwiches is utterly ridiculous. I'm tired of eating shit!

Whoops! It appears as though I've unintentionally dropped a link regarding meta data removal from PDF's..

https://pdf.wondershare.com/how-to/remove-metadata-from-pdf.html

I suppose I'll just leave it there for any interested parties to do with it what they will. 😉

So no one is going to mention Kermit's third hand?

Probably want to look into changing the name to Fiftynote for the free version.

Generated on your own PC, how? Is there a tutorial you followed that you'd be willing to share?

The crux of the issue is that a good portion of the US has been convinced the only way back to "being American" is through use of their amassed arsenal. They're aging out. With fewer and fewer voters leaning their way they try and go dirty which didn't work, leaving them their only card left to play, "civil war". The issue none of them care to address is the fact that 90+% of their forces are on daily medication just to live. If war really broke out, access to those medications get severed. Another thing is it may seem enjoyable for them to feel like they're participating at a turning point in our history but war isn't something an individual can just stop doing because it's been a hard day and they need to unwind with a cold one.

Mostly it feels like bluster but I've seen plenty of stupid transpire in my short lifetime to know anything can and does happen.

God save us all.

It's probably some weird DRM where it needs to authenticate with their server in order to verify you're actually the one with an account. It's silly. The steps they take to try and stop piracy are what in fact drives most people to it.

I started downloading shows from several streaming services I pay for simply because of the number of repeating ads they'll run during a show. A 24 min runtime gets extended to 45 minutes for all the ads, which I was sitting through for months but when they only have two different ads on loop, WTF!? A man can only take so much!

My argument for why landing on the moon wasn't boring is they actually got to pilot the ship, landing it safely on the surface. If the astronauts had a cut scene where they were suddenly landing safely just so they could then fast travel home, having nothing to do on the surface would've been far more of an issue.

I wasn't thrilled at the idea of leaving Reddit after 14 years but some things cannot be avoided. My first post here on Lemmy. Thank you for the warm welcome!
