yes. it's affected my life and i have lost many friends who have gone down the rabbit hole insanity of greed and violence and we stopped interacting because i was not going down that hole with them.
it sucks. but i ended up getting a dog who doesn't care about being greedy of violence. so it worked out.

yes. the openly call for murder, theft, and various form of violence against their 'enemies'.
and if you suggest maybe that's not such a great idea, they basically tell you that you should die too.
there was a big post yesterday about 'rent is theft' that had 100s of comments, that was mostly .world vs .ml users.
the .ml users basically harassed and threatened the .world users who were talking about reasonable reforms on housing prices and the causes for housing price inflation. .ml users think if you talk about facts and reality you are part of the problem and that reality should be re-made such that private property no longer exists and every single person should leave in the same concrete housing blocks like they had in the USSR, or they should be shot.
.ml users engage in a lot of violent fantasizing of mass murder and state sponsored violence until that everyone believes what they believe. basically everyone who isn't a communist or anarchist, should die. and once everyone who isn't a communist/anarchist is dead, the world will be a perfect utopia with no suffering. that's their view.
.world users aren't screaming about murdering people.
.ml users are also just immature weirdos. most of my harassing comments calling me insults come from .ml users.
they don't discuss and they don't read. they just shout and quote russian/chinese state propaganda about how people living in those countries are so wealthy and liberated and so much better than americans or europeans. and if you do cite sources, they tell you that those are american propaganda and all lies and ONLY THE CHINESE GOVERNMENT IS TELLING THE TRUTH.
oh, and the .ml opening talk about the power of violence and their violent fantasies of killing everyone who has a modicum of economic security and all claim to be the poorest of the poor, which I highly doubt.
I was a communist when I was 15, but even back then I was into the utopia part, not the mass murder fantasy part.
i am not depressed or anxious.
I still don't like talking to people, because they are boring and really selfish. I like talking to people who aren't selfish and rude, who are doing interesting things, but those people are very rare. maybe 1/10 people I meet is worth my time, and maybe 1/50 actually is enjoyable and fun to be around such that I enjoy their company. I actively date, and socialize several times a month.
the more i socially isolate, the better my mental health and mood generally are. I absolutely loved the pandemic those were 2 of the best years of my life. I haven't hung out or met anyone new in two weeks now and I am in a way better mood than I was around the holidays when I had to do a bunch of social stuff.
there were some increasingly crazy people on the inside of that group. I didn't have the energy to fight a battle on multiple fronts. Crazy people have infinite energy.
I decided to shift gears and now I go out into the woods and fix up hiking trails, but even there we come across crazy people who try to place traps to hurt people. We have one parcel of land where someone is cutting trees so that they fall on people hiking. This person has been doing this for years and never been caught, but we have to keep going in and cutting down trees because of this psycho. Thankfully it's only one person in one place though and the trees and rocks and dirt don't flip out at you and most people who see us say thank you.
The geeky people who care about tech usually are the assholes and the bullies who are angry the 'normies' are using their tech that they made for themselves and that they can't live in a weird bubble of their misguided and idealistic beliefs.
early reddit was dominated my far right libertarian techies who think free speech should be absolute and taxation was theft. It was also incredibly misogynistic and racist and dominated by 20/30 something white brogrammers making lots of rape jokes.
Sort of like how fediverse is now, except it's far left techies who think rent is theft and who become hostile and ballistic towards anyone who doesn't share in the 'purity' of their beliefs and think anyone who isn't part of their queer utopia vision deserves to be subjected to violence until they agree with them.
what data is that? the data that shows human civilization has grown and expanded almost non-stop for the past 10,000 years? despite all the setbacks it has had?
Movie should be about a young idealist communist/anarchist who spend their days fantasizing about killing the wealthy and talking non stop about evil they are. Then this rich evil guy meets them one day and makes them an offer: if you hang out with me for 1 year I will let you murder me and you will get all my money and power, but you have to hang out with me for that 1 year and learn everything about my life and go to all my parties and meet all my friends. Then after 1 year the young idealist slowly learns and grows and starts loving the rich person who has given them so much and taught them so much. They can't do it! But the rich person dies anyway (they had cancer), and the young anarchist now gets their money, their multiple homes, and all their power and influence. And they decide they can do so much better if they don't give it up, if they don't start the revolution today, if they temporarily use these things to do good! They will finally be able to start the revolution and liberate the proletariat and usher in the utopia promised by their ideals.
And as they do this they start hurting people. They steal from others, first other rich people. Then they start feeling entitled to other people's things and their bodies. They host parties for other young anarchists, but they need people to provide the food, the music, and hire sex workers. And they are going to pay all these people very generously and give away their houses to these people and such, but it all goes so well, but the people who they hired aren't good anarchists/communists, they are clearly only in it for the money and are all greedy capitalists, some of them even own their homes! They really don't deserve their generosity, so they stiff and underpay the people they hired. But they also decide they should do it again, and again, and again, and just a bit longer they will hold onto all this money and power, it can't hurt right? The revolution will be tomorrow!
And fast forward 30 years and they never gave it up. They now have more money, more power, because what they had wasn't yet enough to start the revolution they still deeply believed in. They still keep hosting parties, boosting up communist/anarchist celebrities and influencers, and keep broadcasting their beliefs. But they get a diagnosis of cancer, time is running out. They have 6 months to live. There isn't time to start the revolution now! They have yet to compete the work... they need more time! so they go and find a young poor struggling idealists like themselves, and they know this person will never listen to them unless they offer to kill themselves and give all their power and money away to the killer, so that they can start the revolution...
