I try to just hold on to the hope that I can get a stable work situation and build up enough money to eventually dip.
It's been rough, but I have like 3 job prospects for remote positions with flexible, work-at-your-own-pace schedules. I'm also still looking for other positions to apply to, but because of fears about discrimination and the difficulty I have getting an in-person job in this reactionary state, I'm sticking to remote jobs exclusively.
One of them is one I already got employed with, but it's a new service that just launched around October, and they have no work for me right now. The second is one that was offered to me 8 days ago; I sent a follow-up email today to see if I could get an update. The third is one I applied to and completed an assessment for literally yesterday, so of course, I'll have to wait on the news for that.
Since these jobs allow people to work however long they want, once I get into a clear position, I might just have to unfortunately go at this shit for however many hours until I have enough funds stacked up to leave.
I definitely will! I also chatted with my girlfriend shortly after this happened, and that always helps too. We're thinking, further along in the relationship, to eventually go to her home state which is far less chuddy for sure.
