Yeah it's already been said that AI is not exactly cost-effective. There's a chance that it can get way dumbed down, privatized and expensive, or just completely dropped. What happens to all of those people that relied on it for their careers then?

How about we stop deporting people don't like, whether they are white, brown, purple, or Jake Paul?

"Look, I know that these people voted for you and yours to suffer, but you just need to get over that so that we can come together and be a happy family again. You not getting over that one little tiny bump in our past just alienates everyone that wanted to see your life destroyed. It was a tiny blip from our past. Just get over it already." ~You....for the most part.

Lol. If you haven't tried I, you really should. It's like an Enemy Within Demake, with all of the same features and better strategy. You can get an Alien Grenade Launcher that allows you to strategically control the route of the grenade. It allows for absolutely bonkers strategies like blowing a hole in the top of an alien battleship, guiding a grenade in blind to the enemy command structure, and then dropping in afterwards like some sort of Hi-Tech Psionic SWAT Team. Makes the entire enemy team panic. And makes for easy clean up.

Absolutely loved that game.

Edit: I think Xenonauts 2 is supposed to be pretty similar.

I bring it up here on Lemmy, because it was primarily the ML leftists (on Lemmy) that pushed the idea to skip voting as a way to protest Kamala as a choice....that it was better to permit an authoritarian to take office than allow a centrist democrat. I would 100% would have liked someone like Bernie taking office, but when I'm presented with 'kick in the nuts' vs being castrated as my only options, I'll take the 'kick in the nuts' everytime.

In an ideal world, I would pick a progressive 10/10 times.

However we don't live in an ideal world. If your options are warm, stale beer or a steaming cup of shit, I'm going to pick the better option, every time. I'll push for more ideal options the next go around, but I won't sink the ship and damn me and everyone to having to deal with shit the next 4 years because I didn't get what I want.

XCOM: UFO Defense (1994)

It's by far the best version of XCOM. I mean. The graphics are as great, but it has all of the same features as the modern version (not joking), and I think the strategy is by far better. You can also have your own base that you have to defend.

Who could have ever forseen this?

Trump slams Netanyahu for truce violation, says it is still in effect and that he is not seeking regime change in Iran.

My local board game shop sells Nemesis lockdown and I'm trying to decide if I should buy it or not. The game looks awesome, however, it's a little pricey.

Heard some people state that lockdown was a little harder to learn, and then they'd recommend newer players learn the original prior to getting the lockdown version.

I did have a few other questions about it though. Do the expansions work with lockdown? Is there any additional player expansions that you can add on to it? We have a gaming group regularly with 5 to 7 people, it'd be really nice if we could fit those additional two people on.
