The specific patch, which is the only one you should be using normally, is to remove ads from Instagram.

I'm thrilled to see companies shifting to Mastodon from Twitter. Mastodon's decentralized nature and open-source foundation provide a healthier and more meaningful online experience compared to Twitter's chaotic, ad-driven environment, specially after elon turd bought it

People actually pay to test them, you can even buy research chemicals in the clear net if I'm not mistaken
