The minimum wage in Philippines is ~$6 per day in the provincial regions (350Php). $5 per hour for 8 hours is damn well nearly a king’s ransom; equivalent to 2,200Php.

And for fuck’s sake don’t raw dog your phone to convenient USB chargers in airplanes, airports, or other public spaces.

Yes the argument can be made that airplanes may enjoy slightly better chain-of-custody type security, but fr the number of people I see who dgaf plugging their junk into USB brothels is wild.

It’s how I retain that resting heart rate of 112. I don’t even have to go to the gym anymore; I’m getting my cardio in just sitting here.

SYAC: In the article, Altman doesn’t explain anything regarding what led to the board doing what they did, and asserts that he will wait for the new board to conduct an investigation.

Put the cost of things into terms of hours you would need to work to cover its cost. On an individual basis, you know very well how to gauge an hour of your working time, and inflationary effects will become apparent when there is something you used to buy routinely and suddenly find you have to work two or three hours to cover its cost.

Because companies rely on asymmetric information to their advantage. It’s why they allow a culture of not discussing pay and wages, because if you knew that your peer is getting paid more than you with less experience and time in the company, you would either demand more pay or benefits, or you will go someplace else. All companies are complicit in this.

I prompted ChatGPT to write and adjust a linear Python script for a repetitive task I needed to automate. It took 30 minutes versus the 6-12 hours I would have consumed if I had coded it myself.

It’s a huge force multiplier when used properly.

Depending on when you go, there is something to be said for the number of people they allow in at one time because you can’t as easily appreciate the floor as you can the ceiling.

The Narcissist's Prayer (by Dayna Craig)

That didn't happen.
And if it did, it wasn't that bad.
And if it was, that's not a big deal. <[ They are here]
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.
