Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.

If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)

Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.

Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.

"Stalwart support for the Palestinian people and opposition to British complicity in the Gaza genocide is the party’s rallying cry, but Galloway stressed that it would also campaign “from the NHS to the economy to crime to immigration, on all the issues that vitally concern the British people.”

"The party’s aim is to fight every seat in England at the election, and has already adopted candidates for most London constituencies, as well as many in Scotland and Wales."

Yawn. He's a pro-Brexit, anti-net-zero, conspiracy-theory-peddling demagogue. He literally endorsed and then tried to get selected as a candidate for Nigel Farage's Brexit Party in 2019.

Why are people who claim to be on the left even giving Galloway the time of day?

He’s a pro-Brexit

As was basically every socialist party in the country. The EU is a capitalist entity, why would any leftist support it?

Because the alternative on offer to the socially liberal capitalist EU wasnt some socialist paradise but the conservativsm with a helping of rampant nationalism we have today.

Good. We need a hung Parliament and electoral reform to end elected dictatorships and political capture by extremists. Hopefully Galloway helps with that by taking votes away from Labour.
