Google Meet will be killed in the next 3 years. Mark my words

[–] David_Eight@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

And will be replaced with an app that does the same thing, just slightly worse lol

That's ambitious

In a few months they are going to launch a brand new Google One Hangouts+. You will be able to transfer calls to AI, so you can watch YouTube Shorts while pretending to be in the call.

For only $99 per month you can enjoy less features than Google Meet which will be killed anyway.

Wow you caught up to teams? So many features!

Google meet is still a thing?

[–] evo@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Apparently nobody here realizes that Meet is the video chat app for Google's enterprise work (and school) suite of apps.

It's not going anywhere...

[–] Saik0Shinigami@lemmy.saik0.com 3 points 2 years ago

Ah yes, because google never discontinued "enterprise" features... So how's Jamboards doing?

Google Domains?
Google Surveys?
Google My business?

Do I have to keep going? In case you forgot... the graveyard is MASSIVE. https://killedbygoogle.com/
