I don't think there is.

The ideal scenario would be to allow the customization of the post item.

In the feed you can find the post view mode in the top right more options menu.

The options I see there are card, small card, and list. All of these show the thumbnail. This is in 0.0.65 currently on f-droid. Is that not expected?

Ah I misunderstood, you want list without the thumbnail at all?

Yes, remove the thumbnail and expand the text into that space. Sorry for the confusion.
