They are really opening up the floodgate on Ukrainian-doom reporting. What a time to be alive! and what a change of tune from just a few months ago!
Yeah, I noticed libs got notably more quite after the failed summer counteroffensive and have slowly been becoming more doomeristic since then. Like, before that a lot of them genuinely believed that Leopards/Abrams etc. were impervious machines that could survive indirect nuke hits and that Russia totally was done for. I also don't think any of them anticipated that Russia and it's tiny nominal GDP would be able produce more ammunition then NATO in it's entirety.
Unfortunely, it is used to push for further militarization.
Looks like they're attempting to soft-land a truce. Or am I being too optimistic?
I'm definitely getting the impression that the gig is up and they're now preparing people for the inevitable.
I don't think Russia is going to accept a truce of any kind that allows Ukraine to regroup.
I imagine any peace deal will reach Ukraine to be neutral and at this point have to cede some land.

Haha, what's notable though is that these headlines are all of a sudden appearing in mainstream western media. I'm guessing that things are so bad now that they're expecting an imminent collapse, and they're preparing people who've been guzzling propaganda for the past couple of years for it.
Based on the responses from libs that I've seen, they're not taking it well. They seem to be insisting that all of the western media is just "Russian disinformation" now as well.
