How much longer until we hit the "They are all nazis and we knew it from the beginning, that is why we didn't send troops" phase of cope?

I do get some encouragement seeing things like this, or the students protesting who didn't back down even when their future careers were threatened.

The fact that they saw through the incredibly biased framing of the question especially.
"said they side with the terrorist group that just earlier this month purposefully targeted and slaughtered innocent civilians.". There's not even the hint of trying to be journalists anymore with them.

After the zoo that famously starved one of the Panda on loan from China, that makes sense. I still think it was intentional to take out their sinophobia on panda.

When "Russian disinformation" is just "information".

"I am sure you see how bad it looks if you report on the facts, so we ask you to instead help us push back against the truth with um...our own propaganda. But for a good cause!"

"Go back to your echo chamber!" -The liberal in the echo chamber yelling at people going out of their way to talk to people with differing opinions.

If you have no idea who somebody really is, why would you want to take a photo with them? I suppose asking one staffer to maybe vet them before they are commemorated is asking too much?

The proper response is outrage that a nazi was invited to be honoured. Especially as a descendent of Holocaust survivors, the correct reaction is to be livid. Not upset that people are "politicizing an issue".

Curtailing aid to Ukraine will only prolong the war, Mr Zelensky argues.

Without foreign military aid, how would Ukraine be able to prolong the conflict? An army with no weapons and rapidly dwindling manpower is hardly an army, they'd be forced to sue for peace.

Imagine begging for billions of dollars in aid and then threatening to somehow activate sleeper refugees as terrorists if countries don't comply. Would the refugees even listen, surely the vast majority of people fleeing the country aren't the nationalistic type. Otherwise they'd have been running in the other direction.

"Numbers that high are impossible, the country is lying".

Obviously the natural order of things is to have homeless on every street corner, it is impossible to exist otherwise!

I was so confused by their post for a minute until I realized they were using the term negatively. I thought they were celebrating the artist at first.

I am honestly surprised it took this long, I had just assumed he was already disappeared after they banned the communist party from existing.

and prevented any teaching about the positive aspects of Soviet history in schools.

Yet when I was a kid I was still being taught how positive slavery was in the US, and how people were actually better off as slaves than free. (That school thankfully is now a parking lot, which is all it deserves). Very happy to have left that country when I was young.

Swaying them to vote...for who? Remind me which US political party would align with Chinese interests. Are they staging a massive coup for the CPUSA?

Yes, the US is purposely starving the world.

Unironically yes. While the US is particularly fond of bombs and drones, another favourite weapon of theirs is starving the countries of people who have the audacity to disagree with them. See: Cuba*, DPRK. As a bonus, they even get to blame the countries they are starving for the lack of food.

Not even only other countries, the US is happy to do it to their own people because the hungry are easier to exploit. The US has an absolute staggering amount of food waste, it is the largest component of most US landfills. They'd sooner throw away food before giving it to the needy. In many cases, they will punish you for giving it to the needy (see the charitable organizations repeatedly fined in Texas for feeding the homeless).

*Incidentally this exact same map can be used for countries voting to end the US sanctions of Cuba.
