Ah yes, an aspirational dictatorship admiring another dictatorship. India has managed to jail members of opposition parties, just like Russia did.

They claim corruption, which may be true; but there is evidence of corruption within the ruling party too.

Company accused of corruption donated via Electoral bonds to ruling party. Arrest is just a diversion.

Not admiring. It’s just “tit for tat” and strategic diplomacy. And positioning is likely to be same irrespective of party in power.
