100 year old meme (lemmy.world)
submitted 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) by blueskiesoc@lemmy.world to c/antiquememesroadshow@lemmy.world

Edit to add:

For the visially imapired: There are two panels. In the first panel is a line drawing of a dapper young man in a tuxedo and white bow tie. He is drawn so beautifully it would seem he is wearing eyeshadow, mascara, and lipstick. His hair is perfectly coiffed. In the second panel is a line drawing of what would be the same man, only with no chin, rudimentary lines for the face and hair slightly mussed. He is also standing with poorer posture.

The caption for the first panel reads, "How you think you look when a flashlight is taken." The caption for the second panel reads, "How you really look."

The initials for the artist are HFT.

Yes and it's over 100 years old and back when flash powder was used for photography.
