NPR* gets like less than 10% of their funding from the government. The VAST majority do their funding is from donations.

Yeah, PBS/NPR get basically nothing from the government, actually. Anyone who says otherwise is entirely mistaken. They're not getting like secret NED money or something, they're almost entirely donation-funded but they are still a mouthpiece for the government and its interests. All of the propaganda, with none of the spending!

To rise inside of NPR you have to be a shitlib and spouse shitlib takes. Doesn’t matter where their funding comes from. But I mean, it does come from shitlib donations so yeah.

With NPR I always assumed those donation were helping to fund specifically the local branch of it

NPR is syndicated so if you donate to a local station they'll probably spend part of that money to pay for NPR content. I assume if you donate to NPR directly you're donating to NPR directly.
