Sadly not shocked by the part of the story that's in the headline. The actual surprises in the article:

1 - He's a state senator now.

2 - The person he slurred was a 13 yr old in front of their mother.

3 -

Tomczyk is quoted as saying, “I have a brother who is a gay guy, and I’ve certainly out of joking and out of spite called him a [slur] more than once.”

What a heck of a guy...

Cool so he knows one gay person who at least acts ok with being called this slur, and now he has the green light to call anyone the same name. Didn’t know that’s how it works.

At this point the creep of fascism has become a headlong charge, and it won't matter if it's Trump, or Desantis at the head of it, roughly half the people in the USA are fascist sympathizers if not bonified ones who openly glorify it. They are all too happy to see books being banned, a womans bodily autonomy being taken away, a free and open press being subdued. All i see year after year is that it's getting worse day by day, hour after hour. And that half will tell you with stubborn conviction it's not at all similar to rise of the Third Reich unironically, and expect you to praise them for having "better" insight.

LOL.... NO.... fuck them, fuck them all entirely.

Sounds like Wisconsin (and everywhere) would benefit from strong anti-SLAPP laws.
