im skeptical with the amount of people on the original forum and github saying the cracker had bundled malware with it at some point

i used to run an older version of cc (i think it was cc2018 where u just had to swap a dll to make it think u had an infinite trial) and then recently i’ve switched to gimp and inkscape and haven’t looked back.

i’d honestly recommend foss alternatives for anyone who does gfx and photo stuff as a hobby over the adobe cc just for how much quicker and relatively stable they are

I really would love to recommend GIMP over PS, but it just sucks to use sadly.

for me the biggest hurdle was getting used to the ui, adobe is definitely the best with ease of use and layout, but so far ive found the feature set to be solid for photo editing and quick gfx work, i definitely miss camera raw and some of the non destructive editing features but gimp has gotten a lot better over the last couple years, especially on the current beta as theyre getting close to the 3.0 launch. definitely not the best choice for everyone but i think it has its niche

This community always made me laugh. When GenP 3 was out (and I am talking about more official sources), Mods refused that it is real for weeks(!). They do not recommend the still superior way to install Adobe with CCMaker. No Creative Cloud, Offline installation, no Anti piracy tools, no account needed. However, they still recommend the Creative Cloud to install programs and users run into Pop-up and trial nags, lol. So, GenP is good, but this Reddit community is no loss at all.

felt like banging my head against a brick wall explaining to that sub multiple times a week that you have to create firewall rules and hosts file entries to stop those popups.

Yeah, but it even not necessary if you don’t install the junk and don’t Login into a profile.

Wait what? Official sources ? GenP 3 ? Without CC ? Please enlighten me. I am using genP from r/genP with links that are posted there. Are they not the official source? I would love to use Adobe suite without logging in and CC crap. I know monkarus exists, but I preferred genP because I could update the apps as soon as they were released and also get the Beta apps plus I was able to use some of the cloud features too like the generative fill from the get go, like from the day it was released.

CCMaker is an (old) tool to download and install Adobe software directly from server without junk. You can even download the installation package offline on your system. No Creative Cloud necessary. During installation you can uncheck the bloat like CoreSync, CAI, CCX Process, UXP WebView Support... CCMaker is not recommended by Reddit, because of "blabla false virus report and we are unable to deal with it". After installation, you need creating an empty "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe Desktop Common\IPCBox\AdobeIPCBroker.exe" file. Otherwise some programs crash on start. And you need to install Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes (best from abbodi1406). Both things usually comes with Creative Cloud that we avoid at this point. After setup all, simply activate with GenP. No account required, No popup, no "Adobe Genuine Service", whatever. GenP is currently 3.2.0 Community version (from cg persia. Sadly, I have never seen that forum open for registration), CCMaker is 1.3.16 from ru-board. You should find both fine by searching.
