Boris: “Whoar biff blimey! It fell out my pocket! Honestly. I got the big calls right but managed to lose my phone. I apologise with humbleness and humility. Snore.”
Didn't the Tories bring in some legislation that would enable the government to store all our private communications? I know this buffoon will argue that the law is only supposed to apply to the little people. It doesn't count for old Etonians.
It's just a classic conservative move to bring about laws they have no intention to apply to themselves.
We see it happen over and over. At this point you'd be a fool to believe what they do is for the good of the people rather than just furthering their own interests.
Why is accountability not enforced for these guys??
Government: "we are going to hold am inquiry to hold those responsible to account"
Those responsible: "well ok but we're not going to cooperate"
Government: "damn. Checkmate"
But probably they don't really want to hold anyone to account, because then they might have to be held to account later on...
However, Mr Johnson’s office said his team was still working with government security officials on how best to switch on the old phone
Lol
They must have done a really good job hiding the on button.
Hammer? Fire? Toilet bowl? None have quite worked yet, better keep trying.
Surprising no one Boris has once again lied and broken a promise.
I'll be glad when this idiot and his toxic party sink back into the swamp they came from.
Still somehow gaslighting the people.
And on it goes. Zero repercussions for this complete buffoon.
UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(
