In ordinary times, this would be entertainment news. But it's also not politics in the sense of any public representation, nor would finance make sense, so ... I'm placing it here.

Alex Gibney’s “Musk” movie is pretty much gone.

Released October 9th to four theaters, it expanded to 472 last Friday.

And now, one week later it’s gone from almost every theater in America.

You can still find it in one or two odd places that didn’t get the memo. And even it’s one showing a day at an odd time, like 10am.

“Musk” was released by Bleecker Street Films, which was sold in the last week to ebay founder Pierre Omidyar — not considered a friend of Elon Musk, but a billionaire nevertheless.

And just like that, it’s gone.

Online, people started commenting earlier this week that shows they’d bought tickets for were cancelled without warning.

“Musk” — which has almost perfect scores on Rotten Tomatoes and Fandango — is a completely unvarnished three hour look at the life of Elon Musk. It covers his whole life, including all business dealings and interviews with his 14 children’s mothers.

Wow!

So is Musk giving ebay dude a handy for this or you think Pierre Omidyar is doing this just for the evil of it?

Because some women appreciate knowing he'll have no trouble providing the resources she would would need to raise kids. Her future would be secure, without needing a husband and all that comes with. I'm sure there aren't very many of those women, but there are even fewer wealthy men looking for them. So it works out.

It's a shame how that level of greed creates an environment where con-artists like musk can easily have 14 kids with various women while the people he's conning can't even afford to have 1.
