Also, I’ve only recently understood the danger, reputationally and otherwise, that effective journalists face, but I’ve started discussing that in maybe every engagement. I’m still directing some resources to real efforts to keep them safe.

Wait what? What planet do you live on Craig? Oh right you live on the billionaire one I almost forget there for a second, oh sorry you DON'T live on the billionaire planet anymore I mean... jeez sorry that must be a radical change for you!

I have gazed too long into the abyss, and interpreted this as some kind of effective altruist

Effective journalism: always be sure to talk up the billionaire class for the dividends to society these titans of industry yield. Wouldn’t that be crazy.

I think he means it literally, as in people who break important news and face very real threats to their life like never before.
