I would try it! Also, maybe the secret is to make it an orange mocha.

Do most people just throw away a thing they dislike or something? Idk why it's noteworthy to commit to the decision you made.
yes
I have a, shall we say, pretty adventurous sense of taste (autism gave me the weird taste buds that don't really get taste stimulation right). I frequently order/make things all my other friends call 'cursed af'.
But y'know what, the summer that I worked at a cafe and had unlimited time to make my own 'secret menu items' was a really fun period of experimentation. Yeah, I found some that were nasty. But a lot were fun and unique.
Don't be afraid of new things! Unless you're the other kind of autistic, in which case, it's totally fine to stay in your comfort zone.
I think the problem is the orange flavor syrup. I've met people in my country that add lemon to coffee, but you must like the bitter and sour food to enjoy it.
Fuck yeah! I've always been like this, trying new things just for the experience and possible good outcome but never getting mad or wasting anything if it isn't good. I've never understood people who always go for the same thing, need stuff to happen the same way on a schedule etc.
Gotta be clear that I don't think bad of people like that at all, it's what they need and all power to them for having that, but I don't understand it. I go crazy from anything like it, I can't stand things being the same all the time.
I'd much rather try something new and it not working out than having the same thing over and over.
Raspberry can work with coffee IF you add cocoa, similarly I would imagine orange would do better with some chocolate as well.
Toss in some Amaretto and baby, you got a morning cocktail.
What is WRONG with you?!
I mean.. Its a known good flavour. Exhibit A:

Bet that tastes great after brushing your teeth
I thought adding a bit of oregano to my omlette would be nice. I too lived with the consequences.
imo coffee is so utterly disgusting it doesn't matter what you put in it. You could piss in a cup of coffee and it wouldn't taste any worse.
It might improve the aroma though.
I fuck with this hard. I always pick weird foods when I go to a new restaurant, stuff that I don't know what I'm getting, and if it's bad I eat it, if it's good I eat it.
I live with the consequences, and as a consequence of that, I have found some amazing meals and foods that I never would have eaten if I hadn't experimented.
Last week I was drinking rum and rasberry flavoured pepsimax. I didn't buy the mixer but it was the only cola we had. It was not good.
"How's everything tasting, folks?"
"... like I got what I deserved 😑"
2nded. I usually don't ~~try~~ sample ice cream flavours, I just pick something new. If it sucks, it sucks, whatever.
"i am living with the consequences" goes hard. major personal accountability. I respect it. props to OOP for extending mercy too tho.
Honestly, that's my type. "I fucked up but I won't complain my way to trying for something better." I agree, good on both of em.
Good for her! I think more people need to love with the consequences of their actions.
Now that's a healthy personality.
Glad she figured that one out before the gasoline fight
My family's motto growing up was "Eat all mistakes." It mostly applied to not wasting food, even if you messed it up. So when I baked cookies in the oven after my mom made a roast, but forgot to turn the temperature down and burned the shit out of them, I had to eat them all. Stuff like that. It really taught me to pay more attention, and appreciate when food was good, even if it wasn't my favorite.
Nowadays I use it for a lot of things - if I decide to watch a show that ends up not being great, I'll eat my mistake and finish the season before dropping it. If I start a hobby that I end up not being as motivated to do as I initially thought I'd be, I eat my mistake and use up the materials I bought before stopping.
It both gives me an opportunity to make sure I really don't like something before I give up on it, and also trains me to not dive too deep into something before I know whether I'm going to enjoy it.
Sunk cost fallacy.
Gotta punish those neurons. Little bastards must be made to learn one way or another
