I'm quite sure this is mostly vibe coded. Why can't people just be honest about vibe coding something?

First commit on august 20th with the entire codebase.

Dozens to Hundreds of commits per active day, each modifying hundreds to thousands of lines of code, so definitely 1000+ lines per day, sometimes 3-5k.

The classic LLM commit format.

Agents.md clearly written by an LLM.

Claude is a top contributor

Top contributes top repos are:

LanRhyme

  • sparse, normal commits and issue splits until mid 2025 when he started committing 500-5000 lines of code per day and is 96% commits
  • extremely crazy github overview with tons of custom components
  • very slow vibe-coded website

fisHarly0:

  • only started contributing anything on github in May, bot?
  • claude-proxy
  • vibe - coding - workflow

Chinsaa

  • Only started committing anything on github in february
  • seems to actually do human code, or small changes but only in vibe coded repos

Another worthless AI slop app. "Open source" yeah by using a tool that stole the works of actual open source developers.

AGENTS.md in the repo, btw.

[–] AceFuzzLord@lemmy.zip 3 points 22 hours ago* (last edited 22 hours ago) (1 children)

I personally would check the file before making any claims. I cannot remember the projects, but I have seen a couple ( that clearly didn't stick with me ) that used an agents(dot)md file to basically tell the agents to piss off, in a much more professional way. It's what inspired me to make an agents(dot)md file for my nekoweb pages.

As for it being effective, I imagine it's about as effective as the old robots(dot)txt, but a man can dream.

Edit:

The file is in Chinese, so I cannot say one way or another until I see a rough machine translation.

AI can help you with a translation.

[–] AceFuzzLord@lemmy.zip 1 points 11 hours ago

I know. Just need to do it instead of being lazy.

Probably that they used AI coding agents to help write the project

This is the first editor I found that lets me easily (after I found the right buttons) layer and edit multiple pictures together for a

meme.

If others can do it I didn't manage to find out how.

If it can do text effects like shadows this will become my primary meme making machine.

The app defaulted to Chinese for me but the first general option is the language selection.

There's also Fossify Paint. I used it and it's pretty decent.

Yeah I use that one for quick jotting and drawing

[–] MisterBen@lemmy.ml 30 points 2 days ago (1 children)

In addition to drawing, there is stop-motion animation, and it seems to work😲

[–] eldavi@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

does it let you to export more than gif's?

[–] MisterBen@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 day ago

Of course, it can also export animations to MP4 format😄

Calling it the first seems a bit stretched, since I have Krita installed on my android tablet. Interesting nonetheless, since Krita UI is not really optimized for mobile.

[–] MisterBen@lemmy.ml 8 points 2 days ago

yes you're right, I mean the app to draw on regular phones, Krita is more suitable for a tablet with a stylus, and I love that now there are different alternatives for creativity🎨

[–] racketlauncher831@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 days ago

The UI is a hard port from desktop, but nonetheless totally usable, as the user would be using external input devices anyway.

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 days ago

This appears to be a Jetpack Compose UI for Krita.

[–] lenhaas2001@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 2 days ago (1 children)

The first is Pocket Paint, its on F-Droid: https://github.com/Catrobat/Paintroid , its v1.1.4 is from 2014 Yours is from the recent years.

[–] MisterBen@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Yes, I corrected the text and this app that you mentioned as a simple drawing for notes is even suitable, I didn't even know how long ago Pocket Paint appeared, thanks for mentioning😃

[–] lenhaas2001@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 1 day ago

It's not just a simple drawing of four nodes. It does have multiple layers, transparency and so on.

[–] illusionist@lemmy.zip 11 points 2 days ago

Nice! I'll try it when it arrives fdroid

[–] Zerush@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Nice, there is also Minipaint which I use online in the Browser in Desktop and Mobile.

https://viliusle.github.io/miniPaint/

I use Krita on desktop, in mobile it's not so good.

[–] ByteMe@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

Krita is available on Android

[–] NewNewAugustEast@lemmy.zip 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Thanks for posting, will check out. Interesting project to use Krita underneath.

Easy on those emojis though. Almost didn't read, we don't need more of those.

[–] MisterBen@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Yes, it's just hard for me to write without emotions :D

[–] leg@leminal.space 2 points 23 hours ago* (last edited 23 hours ago) (1 children)

I like all emotes. There really should be more of them

( ´◡‿ゝ◡`)

[–] NewNewAugustEast@lemmy.zip 1 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago) (1 children)

emotes sparingly, but emojis are awful in forum discussions. Always have been.

But now its either one of two things: the keyboard is just recommending them and people click them so they are meaningless, or AI added it. Either way, they are annoying and pointless. That is what words are for.

I see emojis, I see lazy and/or AI.

[–] leg@leminal.space 1 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

I respectfully disagree. They're useful for conveying tone or emotion without needing to be wordier to do so. You say it's lazy, but I see efficiency. If you're annoyed, it's because you personally see reason to be annoyed. They're not objectively annoying. Some people are obnoxious with it, sure, but that's not the fault of the emojis themselves. Take it easy, man 🙂

[–] NewNewAugustEast@lemmy.zip 1 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 13 hours ago) (1 children)

You told a joke, yes?

19-Sep-82 11:44 Scott E Fahlman :-)

From: Scott E Fahlman I propose that the following character sequence for joke markers: :-)

Read it sideways. Actually, it is probably more economical to mark things that are NOT jokes, given current trends. For this, use

:-(

I hope the formatting works if you are on mobile.

[–] leg@leminal.space 1 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

I see how you might confused, but mine isn't sideways, and it doesn't have a nose, see? 🙂

I'm being dead serious :-(

[–] NewNewAugustEast@lemmy.zip 1 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Cool. Which means you emji means nothing to me, I have no idea what you are saying with it or why is is there. Did your keyboard suggest it then?

[–] leg@leminal.space 1 points 11 hours ago

Nope! I'm just smiling at you without using the cringy *smiles at you* asterisks. Now you understand my intentions and future smiles will be decipherable 🙂

[–] kumakami@hexbear.net 4 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

wow it looks great for an android tablet, thanks for sharing

looks like it uses krita for its core
