Ocarina of time —- running into the owl and accidentally pressing a to skip, but you have to hear it again if you press a to skip. Becomes frustrating.

Pokemon blue/red—- the slow ass POKE-CENTER

And to add on; to save the game, it asks so many questions.

Well, tell me your frustrating parts in any games

Blood moon in BotW and TotK. Why do we have to go through this every time?

[–] Up_dog@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Totally agreed. I played botw years ago and I despise it. And that blood moon animation. They should show it once, in the beginning of the game, and then either cut it short or a “hold A to skip” option.

there was a skip option, minus I think?

[–] apfelwoiSchoppen@lemmy.world 4 points 3 weeks ago

It doesn't work fast enough at all.

In fairness, I think for the BotW blood moon it's because it serves as a loading screen

The forty-five minutes it takes to start a new game of Final Fantasy Tactics Advance.

Mass Effect 1: the minute-long unskippable cutscene before the fight with Matriarch Benezia. I can't remember if I was just terrible at that fight or what, but I had to watch that scene SO. MANY. TIMES.

That one scene in Yakuza 4 after Saejima lands on the beach - if you've played it you know which one. Very much a product of the times, and in that sense you can get what they were going for, but that doesn't make it any less vile and a gross mischaracterization of everyone involved.

The Kiwami remakes can get fucked, but at least with how much they fucked up 3 any "remake" of 4 wouldn't include that.

I can't believe nobody's brought up the classic FFX "haa haa haa haa!": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H47ow4_Cmk0

Yes, I know it's supposed to be forced and awkward, but I still hated it as a kid lol

Gotta second the "too many prompts to save" frustration. Particularly if the default cursor placement is on 'Cancel' or 'No'. Just let me mash X or whatever

[–] Up_dog@lemmy.world 3 points 3 weeks ago

Exactly!

“Would you like to hear what I said again?”

-yes -no
