In all seriousness, I am not actually doing that. I already have my Frame, and while I have noticed some little downsides so far (just like with any piece of technology), they are mostly software issues that should be able to be addressed with an update. I think most users will be happy with the product.

Facebook released an AI product that you can give access to all your sensitive data and accounts (ID, bank account, mail, credit card, etc) and the only useful things it can do is communicate with "specific partner companies" (probably just an API) and "cancel unused subscriptions".
It also desperately wants to take over your hobbies in so far as they happen online, and builds up a detailed profile of your friends and you shopping preferences.
And for some reason, journalists that write all this put extremely positive titles on their articles ("I was blown away") 🤷♂️

Wasn't there a leak just a few days ago revealing that the AI actually farms that out to third-party contractors who call them on the phone?

As long as they used lessons from Index and others, I’d be shocked if it wasn’t amazing.
Their hardware game has been really good, imo.
Honestly the actual hardware is very competent for the price, and a lot of the technologies Valve is showing off (foveated streaming, Windows PC games on ARM Linux VR, etc.) are awesome!
It's more how people are comparing the price to the heavily subsidised Meta doodad that is less open, has similar or worse specs (especially when it comes to streaming it seems), and is owned by Meta (selling your eyeballs to advertisers is not something I would like to do personally)

Even worse is the fact that your cameras are being sold to advertisers. Meaning that anything the Quest cameras see (the room you are in, any other individuals in the room, etc.) is going to be sent off to who-knows-where.
Personally, I'm thrilled that Meta can sell pics of my dick. Who would have thought it was even possible? It fills me with warm fuzzies.
I think someone was able to play Skyrim VR on medium quality via Standalone
I reinstalled skyrim recently for the first time in like 5 years. I had a bit of a shock when I remembered it released in 2011.
Looking at it now, I am honestly shocked it's not running at max settings in VR, even on cellphone hardware. This game is no longer anything resembling a technological marvel and runs on basically any modern hardware including the cheapest available options very well.
I want it so bad.
