Every 10-15 years it pops up

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 29 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It should never go away. It's fun to say. It's fun to hear. It feels like it conveys the exact meaning you want when you way it.

100% agree, nothing hits like being called a bozo

[–] Holytimes@sh.itjust.works -2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Just wait till it gains a racist undertone.

[–] Repelle@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Perhaps from Spanish bozal, used in the slave trade

Until it starts becoming a slur, all old lingo comes back after skipping a generation or so.

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

And names. How many years before we start having Betty, Wilma, Frances, and Edith again?

[–] NoneOfUrBusiness@fedia.io 5 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I think white people names are overrepresented in the names chosen by white people. Instead of naming your kids France, name them Equatorial Guinea or United Arab Emirates.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

You mean Equatorial America and United American Emirates.

[–] Funkt4st1c@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

Can you look at a newborn infant and seriously say "your name is now Edith"?

I think names need 3 generations or so before coming back

You know, maybe it is . . . I was watching a Caves of Qud let's play the other night and wondering why the guy kept calling every enemy a bozo.

Going to save this for when some unc millennials need to be put in their place.

[–] Trex202@lemmy.world 28 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

As an unc millennial, I am constantly needing to be put in my place, no cap

[–] peopleproblems@lemmy.world 10 points 2 weeks ago

As a fellow unc mellennial, waking up in the morning usually results in reminding me of my place.

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

[–] farmgineer@nord.pub 11 points 2 weeks ago

The war against the machines wasn't kind to John Connor ... !

[–] chocrates@piefed.world 7 points 2 weeks ago

He just looks like he has seen the horrors of his late 30's

[–] BackgrndNoize@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

[–] Leviathan@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It's funny, I went to highschool with a dude who I thought looked a lot like him back then. We reconnected last year and he looks almost exactly like this. Does a lot of blow.

When skynet was delayed until 2026 he never needed to become the man, the myth.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 week ago

Seems a little uncalled for...

[–] lightnsfw@reddthat.com 2 points 1 week ago

Looks like a fairly normal middle aged dude to me. Especially considering I'm pretty sure he has/had some drug problems.

[–] neuroneiro@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago
[–] db2@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It was cringeworthy enough in its original form 😬

[–] SarahValentine@pawb.social 37 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

He's a 10 year old kid. If you cringe over that, you forgot your own life.

[–] CapnJ0e@lemmus.org 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Totes. This square needs to touch aura. Zero cap.

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 1 points 1 week ago
