Rule 1: Be Civil, Not SinisterTreat others like fellow employees, not enemies in the breakroom.

  • No harassment, dogpiling, or brigading
  • No bigotry (transphobia, racism, sexism, etc.)
  • Respect people’s time and space. We’re here to laugh, not to loathe

Depends on the science? Who has only sciences and not physics (orange), biology (green) and chemistry (yellow) separated? But mine were also out of hard paper and not plastic..

[–] cannedtuna@lemmy.world 14 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Excuse me, but orange is history. Red is any math related subject. Blue is for lit. Green is science.

[–] Stamets@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 3 weeks ago (2 children)

Red is Language Studies and Green is math, you heathen.

[–] snooggums@piefed.world 5 points 3 weeks ago

Found the capitalist.

[–] umbrella@lemmy.ml 2 points 3 weeks ago

where the fuck is math not red.

math is the reddest subject there is.

[–] anton@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 3 weeks ago

Agree, except physics is dark blue because math is blue.

[–] hessenjunge@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 3 weeks ago

Yep, was about to ask „which science” since we’re talking about folders, not clothing.

Blue for sciences... ah yes, the Star Trek system.

[–] Stamets@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 weeks ago

Even before I got into Trek... it just makes sense to me

Blue is math, orange is chemistry, green is biology. My physics folder was always light blue but that's not in there apparently and then red is for your mother tongue language subject.

Of course everyone is different but naturally my colors are right so everyone else must be wrong.

[–] burido@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

So where does magenta fit in? Ot feels left out :(

[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] hoshikarakitaridia@lemmy.world 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Wait omfg that's genuinely what that color was for me. That's funny.

[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 weeks ago

Seems like some colors are truly universal for some (western) countries.
Read some threads here have some colors that are the same as it were for me.

Here were mine:
Red - German (mother tongue)
Orange (or Yellow) - English (2nd lang) Blue - Math
Green - Nature Sciences
Yellow - IT/wood-working (depending on school year)
Purple (or adjacent) - Religion or Ethics (Ethics for non-christian students)

Green is science. Blue is math.

[–] davetortoise@reddthat.com 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Biology is not a science subject?

[–] davetortoise@reddthat.com 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

Green is science. Blue is math.

Green is only biology

Sounds exclusive rather than inclusive to me.

[–] davetortoise@reddthat.com 1 points 3 weeks ago (1 children)

I'm confused do you think that biology isnt a science? Or that its a different colour to maths?

[–] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

I interpreted your initial comment as Biology is the only valid subject for green. Not general science subjects.
In my school there was no dedicated biology subject. Only nature science. It was composed of physics, chemistry and biology at varying levels throughout the year.
You get my comment now?

Green because Trivial Pursuit says so

Science: Green

Math: Red

Literature: Blue

History: Yellow

[–] QualifiedKitten@discuss.online 2 points 3 weeks ago

Depends on where science lands on my schedule. I'd sort the folders in rainbow order and match that to the order of my schedule.

[–] Bronelius@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

Red - English

Orange - Social Studies/History

Purple - Math

Science - Blue, but green fits too

[–] kivihiili@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 3 weeks ago

[–] Zephorah@discuss.online 2 points 3 weeks ago
[–] Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it 1 points 3 weeks ago

Orange is clearly science
