30kg is ~66lbs. Paul McCartney brought 8oz of pot to Japan in 1980 and that much could have given him 7 years of jail time, had he not been an international music star. They let him out after 10 days. Cannabis laws in Japan really have not let up at all since then.

I dont think they're going to get off light with 66lbs of pot. With blatant intent to distribute, their defense of "we were told we would get a free trip to Japan if we brought these bags that we promised we wouldn't look into" is pretty damn weak.

It's an interesting question because there's no benefit to the country to keeping them locked up in Japan for 10 years as opposed to 1 year. Will they be able to cut some kind of deal? No matter what happens once they get thrown out of the country they'll never be allowed back.

It offers better visibility of the lights, allowing more people to be aware of them and get out of the way.

I can imagine it being rather effective in traffic jams

Wow. The stupidity of this woman is astounding. If someone offers you to finance the holiday for taking a packet along, it is bound to be highly illegal.
