I think i finally get how this works. To get paid leave, single payer health care, etc. we just need to expand congress to approximately 350 million seats.
Work Reform
A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.
This would be the most funny way to achieve direct democracy
That's OK because His job is IMPORTANT!
-Republican Nurses UPSET at the Status Quo!
Once again, conservatives believe in hierarchy. Separate rules for separate people. That's it. That's the whole thing.
They don't see "the congress guy gets paid leave and the bartender does not" as contradictory. They see that as the rule of hierarchy being applied consistently and fairly.
Like, imagine if someone told you your alphabetically sorted bookcase was wrong because you had the colors all mixed up. The worldview they're applying doesn't even intersect with more typical ideas about fairness.
Man, what a punchable face.
Remove qualified immunity, then we will see how long they last.
