America has been effectively treated like a third world country with better technology for at least a decade now. Our resources have been siphoned off by our oligarchs while we just wait for the inevitable
Work Reform
A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.
Wait u til you find out that AI was just an excuse to move computing into the cloud so they can control what we can and can’t do and say on it
The irony of posting that on threads...
Unfortunately most of the people, almost all who need to hear it are probably there.
Columbus should never have partnered with Palantir
Their faces when money loses all value
Well— it’s more like: they did that 250 years ago, and they’ve been trying to ‘manage’ the grumbling serfdom since by attempting to mitigate various popular uprisings with varying degrees of success.
They (us, the United States) decided to speedrun Rome in 1/10th the time, and now find themselves shocked that they’re at the end of it, like those final Roman emperors, feeling very much entitled to more and not understanding: How dare those Visigoths come storming over the Seventh Hill as our citizens and slaves revolt yet again…?
“BY ALL THAT IS DIVINE: FEED MY UNQUENCHABLE THIRST FOR WEALTH AND POWER FOREVER, FOR IT IS MY RIGHT!!!”
— the famous last words of Emperor Honorius of Rome, I’m sure, had the Visigoths given enough of a shit to make record of it before they slit his throat
There's some argument that most empires last 250 year. It's how long it takes for sentiments to shift over the generations from "all in this together" to "f u I got mine" and the thing to fall apart.
That long, huh? I think we can do it way faster in the next one.
And instead of replacing native labor with African slaves, we'll replaced by AI powered robotics.
Don't forget their plans to make homelessness illegal, and then once you're in jail you become a slave
