Generally, an artifact should be 100+ years old, but this is a flexible requirement if you find something rare and suitably linked to an era of history, not a strict rule. Anything over 100 is fair game regardless of rarity.

On September 1st, 1914, this gun helped stop a German cavalry division from breaking into the retreating British Army at Néry. I am in awe that it kept firing for two and a half hours after every other gun in its battery was knocked out.

At the end, only Captain Edward Bradbury, Battery Sergeant Major George Dorrell and Sergeant David Nelson were left serving it. Nelson stayed after he was badly wounded and ordered into cover. Bradbury was mortally hit bringing ammunition.
