I won't buy anything Nintendo ever again because they started attacking emulators. I was a lifelong customer until the Switch 2 and they've shot themselves in the foot.

they started attacking emulators

They're like this since the 1990s. Nothing fundamentally changed.

I was a lifelong customer until the Switch 2

Then you stuck your head in the sand because they're consistent about emulators since three decades.

To fix this lifelong mistake this person should actively bash them from now on.

Don't know what you mean. I merely corrected the claim that Nintendo only just started attacking emulators. I bashed nobody here.

Same here, since the Palworld/patents thing.

Palworld was the final straw for me.

Eden emu hosts its own git instance. If you have a server and live in a country where section 1201 of the DMCA does not apply you could do the same.

What are some of these countries?

7 projects, most of which are yuzu forks.

Unsure how much of these were in active development, but not sure what people expected. Just don't use GitHub for this, especially if Nintendo already shut down the project before.

nintendo: we're going to dmca emulator and rom sites

padme: so you're going to make classic games easily available to play for people right?

nintendo: ...

Who, what, how can I help? 👀 /s

Fuck nintendo.

Why are these hosted on Github? Wouldn't a self hosted repo on an obscure VPS host be harder to take down?

Edit: Nvm, others already mentioned this.
