Nobody is shocked, yet nothing will ever be done.

Time for nukes from space.

Yeah absolutely, and the more proof of what we know that we can gather, the less manoeuvring they can do to get around it. Corruption can't exist blatantly or they wouldn't invest so much in propaganda. It's certainly does exist blatantly, but then it's about a power struggle. Ultimately they need 'us' (collectively not individually) to engage to a degree, to say the benefits outweigh the costs. To keep using Facebook because the algorithms have caused addiction and our friends are on there. If anything overpowers that drive, and we all collectively turn away. They cease to exist. I mean obviously that's why they try so desperately to intricate themselves in politics and weapons, an oroborous.

We need this information, collectively. We need society wide disgust.

Well no shit. To him, or any billionaire, empathy is impossible and even sympathy is a tall order.

[–] bluesheep@sh.itjust.works 18 points 3 hours ago

In other news, water is wet and fork found in kitchen

Literally the only way they can make any of this right when the bubble pops and shit starts hitting the fan is public execution.

Musk, bezos, Altmann, zuckerman, etc.

Nothing they do short of that is going justify all the damage they caused to the world, I don't think we will be able to move past it unless they where executed, or at the very least have to spend 5 counts of life time sentences in solitary confinement with no parole, work release, etc.

[–] nandeEbisu@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Nah, put them through the legal system and see how they last in our prison system, and not one of the white collar cushy ones. Maybe they'll end up spending some of their money on improving our penal system then.

[–] FoxAlive@lemmy.zip 2 points 56 minutes ago (1 children)

Yeah, you are right and I know it. I more or less don't trust that to happen though.

[–] nandeEbisu@lemmy.world 2 points 49 minutes ago (1 children)

Yeah, but we can still vent and post guillotine memes.

[–] FoxAlive@lemmy.zip 1 points 2 minutes ago

I'm all about that life

[–] witnessradiant650@lemmy.world 5 points 5 hours ago

He doesn’t let his kids use social media. Why do you think that is?

[–] lemmysmash@piefed.social 3 points 5 hours ago

Every single fucking one of them does.

[–] ameen272@thelemmy.club 29 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Whistleblower says water contains hydrogen

[–] nobodysreadingthis@quokk.au 6 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

I hadn't registered it as a performance of caring.

[–] Nouvellalia@lemmy.world 4 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (1 children)

🫂 everyone who gets to those levels of wealth is a horrible person and a seasoned liar.

[–] nobodysreadingthis@quokk.au 4 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (1 children)

I couldn't tell what he was trying to lie about, just that he was lying about something.

[–] Nouvellalia@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Lol, I get it now. You couldn't read the psychopath's face. Very relatable.

[–] nobodysreadingthis@quokk.au 2 points 1 hour ago

The text was equally unhelpful.

[–] zerofk@lemmy.zip 13 points 11 hours ago

The word “duh” comes to mind.

Genuinely hadn't noticed.

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 14 points 12 hours ago

We should now ask them if they have any evidence that water is wet

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 14 points 13 hours ago

This changes EVERYTHING

[–] Prior_Industry@lemmy.world 104 points 17 hours ago (2 children)

I thought that was obvious tbh

[–] WhatAmLemmy@lemmy.world 18 points 16 hours ago

It's only obvious to the 99.9% of humanity who are not oligarchs, so obviously the criminal predators will never have to face consequences for their crimes.

[–] pHr34kY@lemmy.world 10 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

I thought this was every argument for child safety by everyone ever tbh

[–] BooBees@fedinsfw.app 9 points 15 hours ago

Think of the children! -Every disingenuous conservative ever

[–] Leviathan@lemmy.world 12 points 13 hours ago

Whistleblower says Wolf in sheep costume just pretending to be a sheep.

[–] mycodesucks@lemmy.world 22 points 14 hours ago

This is the same level of shocking scandal when they revealed that rich people were paying to have their children admitted to universities.

[–] anon_8675309@lemmy.world 9 points 12 hours ago

No shit. He’s a perv.

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 9 points 12 hours ago

We've known this since 2014, when an actual whistleblower told the public that FB was experimenting on its users without their knowledge or consent, and the result of those experiments is why Meta is currently being sued.

[–] mrmisses@lemmy.world 65 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

He's pretending to care? He's doing a terrible job at that, too

[–] justsomeguy@lemmy.world 13 points 15 hours ago

He's doing his best human impression. It's not much but it's all he has.

[–] Aberration13@lemmy.world 13 points 13 hours ago

This is considered whistleblowing these days?

[–] Th4tGuyII@fedia.io 28 points 16 hours ago

I mean it's nice to have someone who actually knew Zuckerberg say the quiet part out-loud, but anyone who surprised to hear this must've been living under a rock for the last decade.

Corporations have never cared about the children. In other countries, the same corps that preach about caring for children have them working as slaves in factories. Don't think for a second that they care.

Pretty wild they are advertising teen accounts while being sued for a quarter trillion dollars for ruining kids lives.

[–] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 18 points 15 hours ago

And water is wet.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 32 points 17 hours ago

Wait......were we all not already on the same page about that? Am I supposed to gasp here?

[–] UpAndAtThem@lemmy.world 4 points 12 hours ago

He'd clearly sell your children's organs to zoos for meat, then go into your home at night and wreck up the place.

[–] Attacker94@lemmy.world 2 points 10 hours ago
[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmy.world 11 points 17 hours ago

That's utterly unsurprising

[–] Hellgruen@lemmy.zip 9 points 17 hours ago

Whistleblower says water is wet

[–] magnue@lemmy.world 5 points 15 hours ago

Other whistleblower says everyone else is pretending to be shocked.

[–] Mercury1337@lemmy.world 5 points 16 hours ago

No shit Sherlock!?

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 16 hours ago

The whistleblower then continued to tell another secret, you might get wet if it rains and you're outside without an umbrella.
