Greece is a beautiful country with some of the worst politics I've ever heard of. It's top of my wishlist for places to visit but every article I see about it is how the Christians have taken more power and want to ban women from coffee shops or something stupid.

I've been to greece a couple of times.
pretty much: beautiful country and absolutely horrid public decision making on every level imaginable - not quite because of religion. idk what it is. likely corruption + not caring at all about nature, people or efficiency.
Maybe their problems actually are forgetting the Law of Zeus: fuck everything that moves
From Greek acquaintances of mine I think this isn't religion but rather the Greek version of the identitarian performative politics so commonly used almost everywhere nowadays to distract people from just who thoroughly corrupt politics has become and how incredibly bad countries are managed nowadays when outcomes are measured in terms of median quality of life.
Didn't they use to walk around bare naked in ancient Greece?
Famously even
Only the men
The older men just slept with pre pubecent boys. Today we call them gets house raided and shot
Only in the gymnasium.
I got a hot take I find increasingly difficult for me to hold back: I don't see any reason to not allow people to walk around butt ass naked besides public hygiene
The bikini is French you big dumb dumb.
This may have just made my oh so fresh day. Thank you
maybe he's referring to how Germany named the Pikini lands "Bikini" when they controlled Papua New Guinea
Wouldn't that be white with blue stripes then /s
france: bikinis mandatory
greece: bikinis banned
europe is a land of contrasts
[citation needed]
Is this some kinda 5d response making fun of birka bans, or has the govt of Greece completely lost the plot?
If you can't do anything for your people you can at least appease some of them with identity politics I guess.
