Why are legislators wasting their time on this? Protecting the voices/images of actors/actresses should be the least of legislators concerns when it comes to AI. Think resource waste/environmental damage.

Japan is hyper capitalistic and also very conservative country, which is why the naturally enforce the made up concept of intellectual property. Also since they do value corporate interests above all else naturally they aren't going to care as much about negative impacts of corporations on the environment as they otherwise might.

Do you believe that they should switch and prioritise things like environmental concern/cyber security etc. over capitalism? I personally think they should, otherwise they’re just showing their greed, unless I’m missing something… 🤔

Absolutely, they need to prioritize environmental issues and also cracking down on corporate malpractice.

I don't have the ability to report voters directly from the vote menu or their profiles so I pinged an admin with a comment that has their names. Most of these accounts have no content and are likely bots or alts downvoting everything in sight or upvoting for their main to boost posts artificially.

Oh right. Thanks for the clarification.
